Lighter Hair, Going Blonder for Summer and Other Stuff

Posted on 16 May 2011 in Daily Daisy by Daisy

As the temperature in LA goes up, so does my elation at what will spring forth in the coming months. Going to my first pool party of the season this weekend and for those on the west side, the Venice Art Walk is next Sunday. I’ve seen some interesting stuff there over the years. One year I saw this huge exterior art piece, an enormous white rabbit for a large property; big enough for two people to sit on. I couldn’t use it but was later delighted to find one of my long time clients from Malibu, whom I ran into at the show had purchased the whimsical piece for his home. Another year, as the act auction was closing, I witnessed two women debating and outbidding one another for a small piece of art, about 6″ x 6″ of white canvas background and colored string switches on it’s surface, mounted on a wood frame. The debate ended when one of the women walked off exasperated, in tears. I found out later that it was a well liked local artist, oh well.. The longer sunny days always brings out lighter colored hair in the salon as well, fun for me to do. As some of you may know, I’m not a big fan of blonde on most Asian gals, but I’m tempted to go much lighter than in the past with my own highlights for kicks this year. Have an awesome weekend everyone, maybe see you at the Art Walk!
