Sodium Lauryl Sulfate Free?

Posted on 16 May 2012 in Daily Daisy by Daisy

Should your shampoo be sodium lauryl sulfate free? Is it a carcinogen? It was a rumor on the internet a while back, however there is no real studies done on sulfates, at least for now, so the rumor is unsubstantiated. It can cause reaction in some, irritation or dryness, but the majority of shampoos add sodium lauryl sulfate to aid the product in lathering up well so the shampoo is more effective. Some experts have expressed that an overload of anything is not healthy but if you are eating healthy, using household and personal care with consciousness, a bit here or there isn’t doing any harm, it is an abundance of anything that will. One thing to keep in mind to use sodium lauryl sulfate free shampoos if you have any kind of keratin treatment.
