Minerals in Hair Can Cause Brassiness in Hair Color

Posted on 1 March 2014 in Daily Daisy by Daisy

Minerals are deposited in the hair from shower water, medication or even hair henna. If  the minerals are layered on excessively, you may be able to remove it yourself at home. Good thing to do before coloring your hair or ask the colorist for a mineral removal treatment. Here’s how for the home remedy..Use a half a cup of filtered water with a quarter cup of distilled white vinegar. To rid of the vinegar scent, add a few drops of  your favorite scented oil. Gingerly pour solution into hair working through with a wide tooth comb. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, then rinse hair with cool water. Doing this regular occasionally with prevent mineral build-up and brassiness from occurring and will allow for better hair color deposit too when you come into the salon for your regular hair color appointment.
