Steps to Full Bodied Hair

Posted on 14 September 2015 in Daily Daisy by Daisy

What are the steps to full bodied hair? Did you know lack of fullness is the number one complaint women have about their hair? Here’s the rundown of how to add body to fine hair. Start with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner, applying conditioner from mid shaft to ends only on long hair, for short hair, skip conditioner all together unless damaged. (For that, you really need protein treatment, see my blog for the right way to use protein treatments). After towel drying hair, use mousse at the roots and a small amount of thickening products on the rest of the hair, less is more here. Turn hair upside down and blow dry hair aiming at the root area. If your hair is frizzy, start straightening out hair with a brush relatively soon particularly the areas that dry fast, blowing down shaft on the hair as you get to the surface of the hair. If the bottom is a bit frayed, good-adds the body! If your hair is fine/straight use your fingers for drying hair rather than a brush, finishing the ends with a brush only. Use some hair spray on the interior portion of the hair while head is upside down, give it a few seconds then flip-up and gently arrange and spray again. Voila, BIG fluffy hair! (P.S. If you really want fullness, keep your hair colored, gals. Very healthy hair lies too flat!)
